Derry unhappy with FAI Cup date

Derry City have joined Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers in criticising the FAI for the dates arranged for this weekend's FAI Carlsberg Cup semi-finals. While the two Dublin clubs are upset that their tie clashes with a host of other sporting action, including the Old Firm derby which will be live on RTE television, Derry are upset that their fans are being asked to travel all the way to Cork City on a Friday night instead of Sunday afternoon.

Meanwhile, Cork will be hoping they can secure their ninth home win to book their place in the final. Left back Neal Horgan is still out while Declan Daly is likely to continue in central defence. Peter Hutton is set to return to the Derry defence despite a niggling foot injury. Midfielder Gareth McGlynn will also need a late fitness test.
