UEFA has announced that the Euro 2004 qualifying match between Israel and Cyprus, scheduled to take place on October 16th, has been postponed until next year.
The games have been put back until April 30th 2003 providing a stadium can be found to host it because with the on-going crisis in the Middle East UEFA has stopped any European fixtures being played in Israel.
Last week Tottenham turned down a request from the Israel football federation to allow them to hold the match at White Hart Lane.
