Roy Keane has reportedly told friends that he will play for the Republic of Ireland again if RTÉ's Jimmy Magee brokers a peace pact between himself and Mick McCarthy.
It is reported that the Manchester United skipper has admitted he would love to wear the green jersey again but says that McCarthy would have to instigate the process.
Keane was sorely missed by Ireland last night as they crashed to a 4-2 defeat by Russia in Moscow in their first Euro 2004 qualifier.
