McCarthy names 22-man squad for Russia

Republic of Ireland manager Mick McCarthy has named his 22-man squad for the European Championships Group 10 qualifier against Russia in Moscow on September 7. Damien Duff, who today signed an extended contract with his club Blackburn Rovers, is included in the list of forwards with Leeds striker Robbie Keane and Clinton Morrison of Birmingham.

Also included in the squad is Sunderland's Phil Babb and goalkeeper Neil Colgan of Hibernian. There is no place in the squad for Arsenal's Graham Barrett who scored a wonder goal against Finland earlier this month, and Tottenham defender Steven Carr, who is injured.
