Shamrock Rovers and Finn Harps moved into the fourth round of the FAI Carlsberg Cup with victories at Tolka Park and Fairgreen respectively. The Dublin side beat Cobh Ramblers 2-0 with goals from Keddy and Francis after 32 and 90 minutes. There were also two goals in the match between non-league Fairview Rangers and Finn Harps.
The Donegal side secured victory with goals from McGrenaghan and Speak after 43 and 88 minutes. The match between Monaghan Untied and Cork City ended in a 1-1 draw with goals from Lester (9) and O'Halloran (60). The replay will take place on Tuesday August 20th at 7.45 in Turners Cross.
