Guus Hiddink refused to be drawn on his plans when the World Cup is over after guiding South Korea to the semi-finals. Hiddink's 18-month contract with Korea expires at the end of the tournament and they are anxious for him to stay on.
However, PSV Eindhoven claim the former Real Madrid manager has agreed to return home to Holland to become their coach for a second time. The Dutchman claimed yesterday he has not spoken to anyone, and he remained coy about his future after Korea's historic quarter final win over Spain on penalties.
"My contract expires after the World Cup," he said. "We thought it might have expired already when we were happy with our first win against Poland. Then we qualified for the second round and we're still going on. My contract goes on until the last game and only then will it expire."
