The Republic of Ireland Under 20 team suffered their third defeat in the Toulon Tournament tonight. Don Givens' side let a lead slip as they went down 2-1 to South Africa in their most disappointing defeat and now the Irish team must beat Germany on Wednesday if they are to avoid the wooden spoon.
A mistake from Manchester United centre back John O'Shea allowed Ashraf Hendricks in to cancel out Andy Reid's goal. Lesley Manyathela won the match for South Africa in the 64th minute with a powerful header.
