Celtic's John Hartson has won his appeal against the red card he was shown in Sunday's Old Firm match. The former Arsenal, West Ham and Coventry forward was sent off for violent conduct in the final minutes of the 1-1 draw with Rangers at Parkhead, but appealed against the decision by referee Kenny Clark.
The SFA Disciplinary Committee met today to review video footage of the incident, and decided that the player's appeal should be upheld. He is therefore free to play in this weekend's match against Hearts, and the 12 penalty points against his record will be deleted.
