Millwall's Richard Sadlier is out of the friendly against the USA at Lansdowne Road next Wednesday. Sadlier was called into the squad by Mick McCarthy yesterday but was then forced out with a recurrence of the hip injury that has seen him sidelined for much of the season.
The Millwall striker, who had been in devastating form this season as The Lions challenged for a promotion place, has decided to undergo surgery later this month and will not be available for selection for the World Cup squad.
