Sadlier and Delap back in contention

The Republic of Ireland squad to face the USA at Lansdowne Road next Wednesday has been announced and includes Southampton's Rory Delap and Millwall striker Richard Sadlier. Sadlier's back after a leg injury that kept him out of the squad for the Denmark match while Delap won the last of his 6 six caps against Greece two years ago, although he has featured in subsequent squads, most recently for the play-offs against Iran.

Andy O'Brien of Newcastle and Sunderland's Kevin Kilbane are also back in the squad having missed Denmark match through injury while Roy Keane, Stephen Carr, Mark Kennedy, Lee Carsley and Alan Kelly are all out injured.

After the match against the USA Ireland then play Sunderland in Niall Quinn's testimonial at the Stadium of Light on May 14. Two days later they will be in action against Nigeria in Dublin before their departure for Japan.
