Risdale confirms Lazio interest

Leeds chairman Peter Ridsdale today confirmed that a verbal offer has been received for Olivier Dacourt from Lazio - but no deal has yet been struck. Following a meeting between Ridsdale and Lazio owner Sergio Cragnotti in Rome on Tuesday evening, the Italian giants are understood to have bid £16million for the France international.

Ridsdale said, “We have received a verbal offer for Olivier from Lazio and we are now waiting for that to be followed up in writing. If that offer is of a magnitude that I feel is appropriate then I will put it to the board, speak to the manager and then speak with Olivier and his agent.”
