Southampton have signed French U-20 international Eric Hassli on loan until the end of the season. Gordon Strachan signed the Metz striker with a view to making the move permanent during the summer if he impresses. He was at St. Mary’s for a trial last month after falling out of favour at Metz and Strachan was impressed with his power and touch.
He said, “He has a very good touch and great feet for such a big man. He is well-built and powerful, but also intelligent and at the age of 20 could be one for the future.”
