Vieira cleared of misconduct

Patrick Vieira became the third player to be cleared of misconduct today following a trio of disciplinary hearings in London. The Arsenal captain appeared in front of a Football Association disciplinary panel for an alleged elbow on Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink during the 2-1 Boxing Day win over Chelsea.

But the France midfielder was found not guilty and manager Arsene Wenger, who was present to defend Vieira, said Patrick has worked very hard this season to clean up his act.
