Leeds chairman Peter Ridsdale has revealed the club expect boss David O'Leary to make money on transfer dealings this summer. Leeds United PLC's interim results were published today and show a significant loss of £13.8m for the six months to December, after the purchases of Robbie Fowler and Seth Johnson.
The Elland Road chairman expects O'Leary to sell - with the Irishman's profit target depending on which European competition Leeds qualify for. "We would expect a net income from transfers this summer. Clearly re-qualification for European next season is a significant element," Ridsdale said.
