Juan Pablo Angel has insisted he will stay at Aston Villa amid speculation claiming he is on his way out of Villa Park. Graham Taylor expressed doubts over the weekend as to weather Angel would serve out his contract at the Midlands club but the Colombian international has been quick to pledge his loyalty to Villa.
"I have heard rumours that I am leaving but nobody has made an offer," he said. " It is good to hear that clubs are interested in me but at the moment it is just rumour and speculation. I am a Villa player and I will remain here until I complete my contract. Mr Taylor has spoken to me and he told me that I am an important member of the squad."
Angel was the club's record signing when he joined for £9.5million from River Plate in 2000 and is currently their top scorer on 15 goals this season.
