Misconduct charges for Souness, Taricco

Blackburn boss Graeme Souness and Spurs defender Mauricio Taricco have been charged with misconduct by the English FA for two separate incidents.

Souness has been charged for his behaviour towards referee Graham Barber at the end of Blackburn's FA Cup defeat by Middlesbrough on February 16. The Blackburn manager was escorted from the pitch by the police after he remonstrated vehemently with Barber.

Taricco has been charged for his involvement in a flare-up during Spurs' Worthington Cup semi-final second-leg victory over Chelsea. Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink was red-carded in the game in a case of mistaken identity but the card was soon transferred to Chelsea team-mate Mario Melchiot. Taricco escaped punishment from the referee.
