Limerick FC came from behind to beat Sligo Rovers 2-1 in the day's only eircom First Division match at Jackman Park this afternoon. The visitors opened the scoring with a David O'Dowd strike after just nine minutes, but second from bottom Limerick equalised with a John White penalty in the 26th minute.
It remained 1-1 at the break, but Limerick took the lead after 68 minutes through Anton Mannering, and the home side held on to claim all three points and move above Athlone Town and to within three points of fourth from bottom Rovers.
