Manchester United's new signing Diego Forlan looks set to make his debut for his new club in tomorrow night's Premiership clash with Bolton at the Reebok Stadium although he is expected to be named on the bench. United boss Alex Ferguson has said that the Uruguayan would probably need two weeks to fully settle in at Old Trafford and regain match fitness. However, the 22-year-old has already impressed Ferguson in training and the Scot is confident that Forlan is ready for a place in tomorrow night's squad.
Meanwhile, Ryan Giggs is set to start tomorrow night's game after being laid low last week by flu. Giggs was named as a substitute for Saturday's FA Cup defeat to Middlesbrough but the Welshman is now ready to reclaim his place in the starting line-up.
Giggs has been as disappointed as anyone in the United camp by the Reds' defeats in their last two games against Liverpool and Middlesbrough and said that they must halt that slide against Bolton or otherwise they would be allowing their recent eight-game winning run go to waste. "We've worked so hard to get back into the position we're in that to lose it now would be criminal really," he said. "At the start of the season we got off to such a bad start we couldn't afford any more mistakes and we're at that stage now where we need to carry on winning."
