Viduka could face FA rap

Leeds striker Mark Viduka could face a disciplinary rap from the Football Association after they demanded to see video footage of yesterday's clash with Arsenal at Elland Road. Television replays indicate that Viduka may have elbowed Gunners' defender Martin Keown in the 30th minute of the 1-1 draw. Keown required treatment on the pitch for the injury but no action was taken by referee Mark Halsey as the incident went unseen by the match official.

The FA's compliance department have referred the incident to their Video Advisory Panel. The panel will give their decision on the matter by the end of the week and if they decide there is a case to answer, Viduka will be formerly charged with violent conduct by the FA and summoned to a hearing.

If the outcome is a suspension for Viduka, it will come as a major blow to manager David O'Leary with Viduka's fellow striker Alan Smith already out for four games after failing in his appeal against the red card he received during the 2-1 defeat to Cardiff City in the FA Cup, and Lee Bowyer and Danny Mills facing FA hearings into charges of misconduct.
