Former Republic of Ireland Under-21 and Wimbledon defender Desmond Byrne and Chelsea's John Terry were last night charged with affray and assault following an alleged fight in a London nightclub.
Both men were arrested yesterday after a fracas involving a member of staff and two customers, and were quizzed all day by detectives. They were released on bail and are due to appear before magistrates on Wednesday.
