FAI Cup third round draw is made

The draw for the third round of the FAI Carlsberg Cup 2002 has taken place this evening at Dublin's Alexander Hotel and broadcast live on RTÉ's 6.1 news. However, none of the big name clubs have been drawn against each other. Holders Bohemians have been awarded a home draw against Cobh Ramblers while Shelbourne face a long trip to Donegal for a tricky away clash against Finn Harps. Shamrock Rovers, who knocked out Cork City last weekend, will take on relegation threatened Monaghan United at home.

Non-league club Cherry Orchard have been drawn at home to UCD while the winners of Rockmount and St Kevin's, who replay their second round tie this weekend will take on high-flying Derry City at home.

Third Round draw:

Cherry Orchard v UCD
Sligo Rovers v Limerick
Dublin City v Bray Wanderers
Rockmount/St Kevin's v Derry City
Finn Harps v Shelbourne
Kilkenny City v Dundalk
Shamrock Rovers v Monaghan Utd
Bohemians v Cobh Ramblers

The ties will be played on the weekend of January 13.
