The FAI have reportedly lined up a deal that would bring the USA to Dublin for a World Cup warm-up match in April. It had been thought that Ireland would play Argentina, but authorities were shocked at the fee required to being the South American superstars to Ireland.
The USA have a match with Germany on March 27th and the FAI are believed to have done a deal to play the Americans on April 17th. That will be part of a warm up campaign, which, according to FIFA’s official calendar, will include games with Russia on February 13th in Dublin, Denmark on March 27th as well as an announced friendly with Nigeria on May 17th.
