Kenny unveiled as Bohemians boss

Stephen Kenny has been unveiled today as the new manager of Dublin eircom league side Bohemians. Kenny replaces Pete Mahon who stood down from the post last week after a string of poor results saw him and his family subjected to torrent abuse from the club's supporters. Bohemians, double winners last season, have not enjoyed the best of starts this year and currently lie seventh in the eircom Premier League table, having won only six matches so far in the current league campaign.

However, Kenny brings with him his own controversy as his former club Longford Town are considering making a legal challenge against his appointment. Longford claim that Bohemians were not entitled to make an approach for the 30-year-old's services. Kenny enjoyed a successful spell with Longford, guiding them from the bottom of the First Division to the Premier League and European football.
