Liverpool fans stabbed in Rome

Four Liverpool fans were stabbed while in Rome for their club's Champions League clash with Roma yesterday. None of the four are believed to be seriously injured and there were no other reports of clashes between fans before or after the scoreless draw.

Three of the Liverpool supporters were stabbed in the leg before the Group B match kicked-off and they were treated by paramedics at the scene. The fourth fan was stabbed in the leg in the city centre following the game. He was taken by ambulance to hospital but his injuries are said to be minor.
