Manchester United captain Roy Keane has warned his team-mates that they cannot afford any more slip-ups if they are going to retain their Premiership title. United have slipped to sixth in the Premiership table after their 3-1 defeat to title rivals Arsenal last weekend. Chelsea are next up at noon on Saturday and Keane has warned United that they must get back to winning ways.
"It's a big challenge for us now," he said on MUTV. "We know there's a lot of hard work to be done. I don't think we will be winning the league by Easter this season, but I'm always confident we will be there or thereabouts. But we can't keep on losing games. The quality is still in the squad and we do realise there are one or two things which need to be sorted out."
"A lot of talking has been done by the press, the players, but we have to go out and do it on the pitch and that's where the fans want us do the talking. The players are ready for this game and over the last couple of weeks, going back to the Anfield game, there have been some really disappointing performances. It's not just about Saturday and we need to get back on track for the rest of the season because we can't keep going on losing games. As good as we think we are, if the gap gets too much, there's no way we will be able to make it up," he added.
