Joos Valgaeren's last-gasp winner took Celtic ten points clear at the top of the Scottish Premier League with a 1-0 win over Kilmarnock at Park Head this afternoon. The Glasgow side looked to be suffering the effects of their Champions League defeat in Rosenborg earlier in the week before the Belgian struck in the 90th minute.
However, two calmly despatched goals from Claudio Reyna later this evening made sure Rangers did not slip up at the home of third-placed Livingston, and closed the gap on Celtic to seven points. The win at Almondvale also extended their advantage over the Scottish Premier League newcomers to seven points.
Earlier at Easter Road, Dundee super-sub Steven Milne stole all three points for Dundee with an ice-cool stoppage time winner to beat Hibernian 2-1. The visitors went in front courtesy of some great play from Rae on 19 minutes sending an unstoppable left-footed 22-yard drive into the corner. Hibs equalised courtesy of Brewster before half-time before Milne got the winner on the 90th minute.
Jack de Gier's stunning goals gave Dunfermline a superb 2-1 win over rock-bottom Saints who have still to record their first win of the season. Paul Harltey scored St Johnstone's only goal in the fourth minute sweeping it under Ruitenbeek's legs for the opening goal. However, a double from de Gier in the 63rd and 77th minute secured victory for Dunfermline.
