Leicester centre-back Gerry Taggert has had his comeback from a long-term injury problem put on hold for another month. The Northern Ireland international has been sidelined since undergoing surgery on the problem last season and had targeted mid-September as an initial return date but that was then put back to October and it will now be near the end of November before he can return to action.
"Gerry is progressing relatively well as he recovers from his knee operation," explained Leicester physio Dave Rennie. "But he had an evaluation of the strength of his leg and that showed there was still a deficit and he's still quite weak. We are looking at another four weeks of strengthening work before he is able to return."
