Westerveld keen on Rangers move

Liverpool outcast Sander Westerveld has revealed he would be tempted by a move to Glasgow Rangers. On learning that the Ibrox side might be interested in him, Westerveld said he would relish the prospect of re-igniting his career in Scotland.

"I have heard Rangers might be interested and that Liverpool would be willing to settle for £4.6 million. I think the price won't be any problem. But I have to wait until December, because then the transfer market opens again. I am in good shape, but I do not have a place on the bench at Liverpool," the goalkeeper told www.icliverpool.co.uk.

Westerveld has been frozen out of the Anfield set up since manager Gerard Houllier splashed out on two new keepers, Jerzy Dudek and Chris Kirkland.
