Three sent off in two Scottish Premier games

Aberdeen came from behind to beat nine-man Dundee United 2-1 as three players were sent off in two Scottish premier league matches today. Dundee United had Jamie McCunnie and Jim Lauchlan sent off in the space of four minutes early in the second half, the first for a professional foul and the second for violent conduct.

Jim McIntyre put United ahead one minute into the second half but within six minutes Aberdeen equalised with a penalty by Robbie Winters following McCunnie's foul on Eugene Dadi and dismissal in the 51st. Lauchlan was sent off three minutes later for an apparent head butt on Dadi. Hicham Zerouali struck Aberdeen's winner in the 69th minute.

Francisco Quino played hero and villain for surprise team Livingston, scoring their first goal in the 25th minute of a 2-2 draw at bottom club St Johnstone but being sent off in the 65th for violent tackle on Paul McBride.

Willie Falconer put St Johnstone ahead in the 16th minute but Livingston, with two goals in four minutes from Quino and David Bingham, went in front before the half-hour. Peter McDonald hit St Johnstone's equaliser in the 50th.

Leaders Celtic are playing at Dundee later today, while their arch-rivals Rangers are at home to Motherwell on Sunday.
