Lubomir Moravcik struck twice as Scottish champions Celtic stretched their lead at the top of the premier league to four points with a 3-1 home win over Dunfermline today. The Slovak's goals, either side of a Chris Sutton effort, helped to lift Celtic's points tally to 16 from six games.
Second-placed Rangers could only manage a 2-2 draw away to Hearts. Rangers looked set to take all three points when Tore Andre Flo fired them ahead after the break but they had to settle for a share of the spoils when Hearts levelled through Stephen Simmons with 10 minutes to go.
Frank Sauzee scored twice as Hibernian won 3-1 at Motherwell while promoted Livingston beat visiting Dundee United 2-0. Bottom club St Johnstone earned their second point in a 1-1 draw at Dundee and Aberdeen beat Kilmarnock 2-0 with both goals coming from Ben Thornley.
