Sander Westerveld has expressed his anger at Liverpool's double goalkeeper swoop yesterday - demanding clear-the-air talks with manager Gerard Houllier. The Anfield club completed the signing of Czech Republic stopper Jerzy Dudek in a £4.85million deal and then secured the surprise transfer of Coventry goalkeeper Chris Kirkland for a £6million-plus fee.
"I am very upset by what has happened. Houllier promised I would be his number one keeper, whatever happened," Westerveld told the Sun. "But when you buy someone for such an amount of money, you cannot believe they will be a substitute. I will certainly want to speak to the manager before the next match."
