Celtic have signed former Paris St Germain goalkeeper Michael Herbert on a two-year-deal. The 20-year-old has impressed while on a trial period with the under-21s at Parkhead and has joined the club on a free transfer. Goalkeeping coach Terry Gennoe believes the young player will be a good addition to the squad.
Speaking to the club's official website, Gennoe confirmed: "Michael's a very positive lad who likes taking crosses and commands his area well, that's what really caught our eye. He's also very good on the back pass and has the ability to either play it out from the back or start attacks with long kicks. Michael will train with under-21s but, as with all the young goalkeepers, I'll be asking him to take part in some of the small-sided matches with the first team."
