Dutch squad named for qualifier

The Dutch squad for Saturday's crucial World Cup qualifier at Lansdowne Road was announced this afternoon. Jaap Stam has been included as well as Rangers defender, Arthur Newman, who is back in the squad for the first time in a year.

Also included in the squad is Edgar Davids, who is currently suspended by FIFA, although he is taking legal action to try to get his ban rescinded. Frank De Boer, the other suspended Dutch international, will also be making the trip to Dublin.

The inclusion of Kluivert, Van Hoojdonk, Hasselbaink, Overmars, and Van Nistelrooy in the squad is enough to give any defence sleepless nights.

The Irish squad gathered in Dublin today, and trained at the AUL Complex in Clonsaugh this afternoon.
