Republic of Ireland captain Roy Keane has said he will continue to publicly criticise matters at Manchester United if he sees things he does not agree with. The Manchester United midfielder made several outbursts last season, including the now infamous blast at United's prawn sandwich-eating corporate clients, but said today he has no intention of holding his tongue.
"I'm not here to keep everyone happy. If things happen that I'm not happy about I will say something," he told the Daily Express in an interview in today's edition of the paper. "I want what is best for the team and the club and my comments reflected that."
Keane also reiterated his delight at the recent signing of Argentinian midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron, who has enjoyed a good start to his season at Old Trafford. The United captain described Veron's arrival as "exactly what United needed" and says it is good for him to have competition for places in midfield. "If United went out and bought another midfielder for £30million tomorrow nobody would be happier than me," he added.
