Fulham manager Jean Tigana continued his pre-season spending spree when he lured full-back Jon Harley from Chelsea for a fee of £3.5million this morning. The 21-year-old is the latest big name to arrive at Craven Cottage as the Londoners prepare for their first year in the Premiership and will join up with recent signings Edwin van der Saar, Abdeslam Ouaddou and Steed Malbranque once he passes a medical.
Harley made his first-team debut a couple of seasons ago, but has found his first team chances by the emergence of Celestine Babayaro and Graeme Le Saux's return from injury. The arrival of Dutch international Boudewijn Zenden, another left-sided player, last week, Chelsea decided to cash in on the player who was in Kevin Keegan's international plans before his resignation last year.
