The Italian Olympic Committee today recommended an eight-month ban for Holland and Juventus midfielder Edgar Davids after finding him guilty of doping offences.
The Committee has also suggested that the Dutch international be fined £64,000 by the Italian football association, and undergo six months of random checks when his suspension ends.
The FIGC, who banned Davids on May 16 following his two positive tests for nandrolone after the Serie A game against Udinese in March, will make a final decision on his punishment.
