Solano warns against complacency

Newcastle midfielder Nolberto Solano has warned that although his club have the upper-hand going into tonight's second leg of their Intertoto Cup semi-final tie against 1860 Munich, the game is far from over. The Magpies lead 3-2 from the first leg but Munich suffered an embarrassing 4-0 Bundesliga defeat last weekend to Kaiserslautern and Solano, who opened the scoring in the previous leg with an 11th minute goal, is concerned that Newcastle could suffer the backlash.

"It was a very good result last week, but we have to play just as well in this game to make sure that we get through," explained the Peruvian. "Of course we know that the goal of the UEFA Cup is there if we can go all the way, but we can't afford to be thinking about that now. We've got to make sure we finish the job in this game and then we can think about the final."

Newcastle boss Bobby Robson is also equally aware that Newcastle have not yet secured their place in the final, despite their lead from the first leg. "It's far from over. We have a slight cushion but it can be removed very quickly with a clever free-kick early in the game," he warned.

The Magpies will be without defender Andy O'Brien who is suffering from a toe injury but Robert Lee has been added to the squad for the first time since undergoing knee surgery at the end of last season.
