Former Bohemians boss Roddy Collins has been appointed coach in charge of first-team affairs at English third division side Carlisle United. Collins, who takes on the role on a non contract basis, emerged from a 30 strong list of candidates, which included Peter Beardsley and Bobby Gould.
Collins parted company with Bohemians at the end of last season after guiding the club to their first League and Cup double in 73 years. It is believed the Dubliner has signed a deal worth £70,000 a year.
