Arsenal beat Mallorca 2-0 in Austrian friendly

Arsenal breezed to a 2-0 victory against Real Mallorca on Monday in a friendly match in the Austrian town of Kufstein where the two teams are training before the new season. The English premier league side made a fortunate start when Dennis Bergkamp forced an own goal from the Spanish club's Fatith Akyd in the 28th minute. New Dutch midfielder Giovanni van Bronckhorst doubled Arsenal's lead after 72 minutes.

"We are working hard this week and we are playing well," Bergkamp told reporters at halftime. "It's working well and definitely we have a good team."

Former Tottenham Hotspur defender Sol Campbell made his debut for Arsenal as a second-half substitute.
