We won't wait forever for Sol says Dein

Arsenal vice-chairman David Dein has warned Tottenham centre-back Sol Campbell that they are not prepared to wait much longer for him to make up his mind about his future. Arsenal are very interested in bringing the England international to Highbury under the Bosman ruling but Campbell has also been attracting interest from other England and European clubs, including Spanish giants Barcelona where he spent last weekend as their guest.

Although Dein confirmed that the North London club are most eager to secure Campbell's signature before they return for pre-season training in early July, he did say that if Campbell had not made up his mind by then, they could be forced to look elsewhere.

"Sol Campbell's position, is that the timing is his. He has said he will make a decision in two or three weeks time and obviously we would like it to be before we start training on July 5, otherwise we'll have other fish to fry. It is his decision but he knows we are very keen to sign him. I guess we have got very stiff opposition. Players at the top end of the scale can decide where they want to go, almost," said Dein.
