Ireland to play Croatia in August

The Republic of Ireland are to warm up for their World Cup qualifier againat Holland in September by playing Croatia at Lasdowne Road on August 15.

Having previously turned down turned down a request from Italy for a game in September, Ireland accepted the Croatian FA's offer to visit Lansdowne Road for the game which will see the two sides clash for the first time since Ireland won 2-0 in a Euro 2000 qualifying match.
