Bayern Munich midfielder Jens Jeremies will miss Wednesday's Champions League final against Valencia in Milan because of injuries, Bayern coach Ottmar Hitzfeld said today. The German international is struggling to recover from a minor knee operation he underwent last month and also has an inflamed thigh muscle.
"I feel sorry for him but there's no way he can fit for Wednesday's match," Hitzfeld said after Sunday's training.
Jeremies is likely to also be unavailable for Germany's next three internationals, a friendly againt Slovakia on May 26 and World Cup qualifiers against Finland and Albania on June 2 and 6 respectively. (Reuters)
