UEFA have urged fans of Valencia and Bayern Munich to avoid buying tickets for Wednesday's Champions League final in Milan on the black market, after revealing that thousands of forgeries are in distribution.
European football's governing body confirmed approximately 4,000 forged tickets are being offered to the general public by ticket touts. Supporters have been told that only tickets purchased from the two clubs or through other official channels can be guaranteed entry to the San Siro stadium.
A statement confirmed: "UEFA's policy on ticketing has been to help supporters avoid the frustration and anger experienced in the past by fans who have arrived at the stadium thinking that they have access to the UEFA Champions League final.
