England manager Sven Goran Eriksson has told journalists not to expect any big revolution when he announces his line-up for tomorrow night's World Cup qualifier against Albania. Although Eriksson will be forced to make at least one change to the eleven who started against Finland, due to Steven Gerrard's injury, he has hinted he may not make any further changes to the team. This means that Manchester United striker Andy Cole, who has been lambasted in the English press for the last several days after he yet again failed to score for England, could be given the opportunity to redeem himself.
"It will be more or less the same team. I will sleep on it for one more night. We shall see, but there will not be a big revolution," said Eriksson at a press conference. The Swede also indicated that Cole remains an important factor in his plans for England. "Andy had a very good chance against Finland and was unlucky but he played well. It is not a problem who scores the goal - it is that we win. The right movement is the main thing. If a centre forward does not score a lot of people say he can't play. For me Cole is a very good player," he added.
