Manchester United will have to overcome the might of German giants Bayern Munich if they are to progress to this year's final of the Champions League. United drew the German champions, who they beat in sensational style in the 1999 final in Barcelona, in this morning's draw.
Elsewhere, David O'Leary's Leeds United face a first leg home tie with Spanish champions Deportivo La Coruna, while Arsenal will also meet Spanish opposition, in the form of last year's beaten finalists Valencia. Galatasaray have drawn defending champions Real Madrid in the remaining quarter-final.
Meanwhile, Liverpool have drawn Barcelona in the semi-final of the UEFA Cup. Gerard Houllier's side must travel to the awesome Nou Camp in the Catalan capital on April 5th, while the return at Anfield will take place on April 19th. Spanish side Alaves will meet Germany's Kaiserslautern, beaten by Bohemians at home earlier in the tournament, in the other decider.
