Finn Harps have drawn 2-2 with Shamrock Rovers in the eircom League Premier Division clash at Finn Park tonight. Harps needed to win as they continue their fight against automatic relegation but a point will certainly help their cause. They got the best possible start when Shane Bradley opened the scoring after 19 minutes to put them a goal up. However, within a minute Rovers equalised through Pat Deans. Harps once again took the lead in the 51st minute, thanks to Kevin McHugh but with just two minutes remaining, Rovers managed to earn a share of the points with a goal from Tony Cousins.
At Buckley Park, home side Kilkenny City lost out to visitors Derry City 1-0 following a 46th minute strike from Darren McCaul. At Flancare Park, Lonford Town beat UCD 2-0 after Stuart Byrne scored in the 36th minute and James Farrell added a second with six minutes remaining. In the First Division, Sligo Rovers defeated Cobh Ramblers 2-0.
