Andy Cole is to miss the next two months of Premiership action following his sending off in Manchester United’s 1-0 victory over Sunderland last night. The striker will serve a three match ban for his head-butting incident with Sunderland’s Alex Rae, who was also dismissed for his part in the fracas.
While Cole will be available to play in the Champions League, he will miss potentially crucial matches against Arsenal, Leeds United and Leicester City as United bid to retain their Premeirship crown. The England striker will return to action on March 31 when United travel to Anfield to take on Liverpool.
