Former Northern Ireland coach Bryan Hamilton has resigned as manager of English first division club Norwich eight months after taking charge.He stepped down as Norwich slumped to their fifth successive defeat on Saturday, beaten 2-0 at Portsmouth. They are now 20th in the 24-strong league. Norwich chairman Bob Cooper on Monday described Hamilton's decision as "honourable." Hamilton's assistant Nigel Worthington will be in charge for Saturday's home game against Gillingham.
