South Dublin county council has voted to grant planning permission for Eircom Park. All 23 councillors voted in favour of the project going ahead subject to conditions being met. These conditions are understood to be standard ones in relation to roads, parking and sewerage.
The Councillors rejected an objection to the proposal by the Dept. of Defence, over the question of Baldonnel Aerodrome, though the FAI has been asked to submit an independent aviation report. It's expected that today's decision will now be appealed to An Bord Pleanala.
