Soccer: Cup final ends in stalemate

Shelbourne and Bohemians will have to meet again after an exciting but scoreless draw in the FAI Cup Final at Tolka Park yesterday. Bohemians looked more lively from the start and enjoyed the lions share of possesion but were unable to find a way past man-of-the-match Steve Williams in the Shels goal.

Shels came out fighting after the break and Dessie Baker should have given them the lead on the 54th minute but he hit his shot across the face of the goal. The Gypsies pushed forward in the dying stages and only another great Williams save from a Ray Kelly header ensured the sides will play again next Friday.
